NOTE ON STATE RECORDS:
-
Men's and Women's Powerlifting Records are the standard State records.
-
The lifter may or may not have worn approved single ply powerlifting gear.
-
In 2008, unequipped (raw) records were started in Maryland. These raw records are for lifts with no supportive gear. Raw lifting as determined by the USAPL includes the option to wear a belt, knee sleeves, and/or wrist wraps.
-
A lifter may choose to lift raw and be eligible to break both raw and standard powerlifting records.
-
Lifters that wear supportive gear are only eligible to break standard powerlifting records.
-
On certain web pages of this website, records, results, and ranking are at times divided up as Gear and Raw. The term "Gear" refers to standard powerlifting while "Raw" refers to raw or unequipped lifting.
-
Lifters must be a resident of the state of Maryland or Washington, DC to set or break any state records.
