The Snatch and the Clean and Jerk
The powerlifting training camps provided by Supreme Sports Performance & Training, Inc. (SSPT) were so popular that SSPT decided to expand their approach. As a result, their next two clinics will focus on the two Olympic lifts. These are hands-on training clinics where you'll learn the right way to perform the Snatch and the Clean and Jerk.
Topics will include:
- Proper exercise form
- Developing your technique
- Effective training protocol
- And much more.
These are perfect for competitive Olympic lifters looking to refine their technique, powerlifters wanting to implement the explosive lifts into their training, as well as CrossFitters who need to learn the lifts for their metabolic complexes. This is guaranteed to be the most exhaustive look at the Olympic lifts you've ever experienced.
SSPT's own Olympic expert, Manuel Buitrago, will coach you to improved performance. Manuel has been Olympic lifting for five years competing in the 85kg class with personal bests of 120kg (265 lbs) in the Snatch and 140kg (307 lbs) in the Clean and Jerk. Manuel is a USAW Senior Club Coach and Referee and recently coached at the 2009 Masters World Games in Australia. He is also a USA Track and Field Level 1 Coach. His coaching experience extends beyond Olympic lifters and includes throwers, sprinters, a variety of power sport athletes, as well as the general population. As a strength athlete and coach, his approach is very movement related and borrows techniques from various Olympic lifting teams, powerlifting, and track and field training. Each camp is limited to 10 people to maximize individual attention and hands on coaching.
